Multi Development secures Truffaut to anchor shopping centre La Vache Noire (NL/FR)

Multi Development France (formerly AM Development) has secured Truffaut to anchor its 40.000 m² La Vache Noire retail scheme that is under construction in Arcueil. The retailer will trade from 4.000 m² over two trading levels and will be located at the top level of the project. Truffaut, together with Monoprix, is among the twenty middle size units (only one left to be leased) that will be in business in the shopping centre of La Vache Noire alongside a hundred of shops and restaurants.

La Vache Noire that is located at the so-called crossroad in Arcueil, less than 2 km South of Paris, will open to the public mid-2007. 80% of the commercial surface has already been commercialized. The project was developed by Multi Development France. Architects are T+T Design (concept) and Dusapin & Leclercq. ING Real Estate acquired La Vache Noire in December 2004 via its Retail Property Fund France-Belgium.

Truffaut will trade from 4.000 m² its unique commercial offer connected to the worlds of garden, decoration, leisures and pets that fits perfectly with the architectural concept of La Vache Noire that features a city park on its roof. The Truffaut store will be located at the top level of the main entrance of the shopping centre and the tree nursery will open directly on the roof park of 1.5 hectare. At street level pedestrians will be able to access and enjoy this large public park.

The internet site of La Vache Noire, www.la-vache-noire.com, launched in order to inform on the project and on the construction works won the award for Best Internet Site at the CNCC 2006 (French Council for Shopping Centres).
