Adgar Postêpu Sp. z o.o. has launched a comprehensive modernization of the facade of Adgar Business Centre office building at ul. Postêpu 15, in the Mokotów Business District in Warsaw. Construction will be completed in summer 2011.

Adgar Business Centre

The Adgar complex of office buildings comprises the Adgar Business Centre (11,600 m²), and the two new A-class 10-story Adgar Plaza buildings (27,000 m²).

The modernization consists of a change in the colour of the building's exteriors and the creation of a more modern shape by rearranging the structure of the facade. The use of shades of grey and light will help the building integrate more naturally into its surroundings and create a look similar to the other elements of the modern Adgar complex.

"The Adgar complex is one of the most modern, well-equipped and technologically-advanced complexes of office buildings in Warsaw. The modernization of the facade of Adgar Business Centre will make all the buildings belonging to the complex create a coherent unity, not only in terms of technology and equipment, but also in external form," explains Eyal Litwin, Vice President at Adgar Investments & Development Ltd.

The modernization of the facade has been designed by Katarzyna Uszok's Architectural Studio. The key elements of the project include a change of colour to shades of grey and the re-arrangement of the structure of the facade.

"The construction will also entail the replacement of the windows and doors on the ground floor and in the south-facing exterior elevation. Up to now, the windows have been green, but the new ones will be grey. The granite panels used in the facade on the ground floor level will be replaced by a dark grey plaster. The green glass in the south-facing and north-facing elevations will be veneered with One Way Vision foil in a light grey color," describes Katarzyna Uszok, Head Designer and Architect of the modernization of the Adgar Business Centre facade.

In the process of re-arranging the multilayer structure of the facade, the semicircular canopy with green panels located above the main entrance of the south-facing facade will be removed. The role of the roofing will be taken over by the current hanger of the building, newly formed with projecting cladding. Uneven divisions in the northern and southern elevations will be evened out with a new, elegant grey outer shell.
