Michael Morrissey named Managing Director, ICSC Europe (EU)

The International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) has announced that Michael Morrissey has been hired as Managing Director of ICSC Europe.

In this role, Morrissey will be responsible for managing all of ICSC's conferences and initiatives in Europe, running ICSC's London office, and growing the membership in the region. Morrissey will assume his role with ICSC on May 14, 2012.

"Michael's skill set and previous experiences make him the perfect choice to direct the associations' strategic efforts throughout Europe as we look to continue the growth of the ICSC brand here," said Michael P. Kercheval, ICSC President and CEO.

"On behalf of our membership worldwide, I would like to congratulate and welcome Michael to ICSC."

Prior to joining ICSC, Morrissey was the General Manager for the International Federation of Air Line Pilots' Associations (IFALPA) where he was responsible for the finances, offices and operation of the organization worldwide.

Additionally, Morrissey has held positions as the Head of International Operations for the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), where he led the delivery of IET products and services overseas, and the Head of Rules and Regulations Department for the International Tennis Federation (ITF), where he managed an international operation to organize and supervise hundreds of professional tennis tournaments, including the Olympic Games, Davis Cup and the Wimbledon Championships.
