According to the Greek newspaper Kathimerini, a member of the royal family of Qatar purchased a land plot of 100,000 m² in Rethymno, Crete a few days ago.
Reports suggest that the buyer visits Greece often and has expressed interest in developing tourist facilities in the area of Rethymno, ranging from golf resorts to hunting tourism.
