LIP Invest acquires Hannover logistics property for €20m (DE)

LIP Invest, acting on behalf of the LIP Logistics Property Fund, has acquired a distribution centre in Hannover region for €20m. The asset is the fifth property acquired for the fund, which was established in 2018. The property totals 22,000m² and has been leased long-term to Hafele, a key player in the furniture and construction fittings and electronic locking systems industry. The vendor is bauwo Grundstucksgesellschaft

 

The partitionable hall, fully covered by a sprinkler system and LED lighting, comprises of 16 loading bays, two ground level gates and 10.5m high ceilings, thereby conforming to all third-party usage requirements. The property is located in Lehrte, east of Hannover just off the motorway junction Lehrte-Ost. The freight centre “GVZ” in Lehrte offers a trimodal transhipment terminal with connections to North Sea harbours. The motorway junction Hannover-Ost is mere five kilometres away. This excellent north-south and east-west connections make the location popular for logistics companies.
