Lange Houtstraat 5-7 in The Hague sold (NL)

RE Netherlands Office B.V. has sold an office building at the Lange Houtstraat 5-7 in The Hague to HPH Vastgoed Beheer B.V. The building comprises approx. 4,550 m² office space divided over the ground floor and four upper floors as well as 35 parking spaces in the parking garage underneath.

Since 1999 the multifunctional building has been partially used as the Campus The Hague, a subsidiary of the University of Leiden.

HPH Vastgoedbeheer has bought the premises for its closed fund CV Haeghuys, which has signed a lease with the The Vincent Hotel Group (TVGH). TVGH will transform the property from an office building into a hotel and will brand it as a Holiday Inn Express hotel.

Managing Director of the selling group Ross MacDiarmid said that he was very impressed with the creative solution proposed by TVGH to convert the building into its highest and best use as a hotel which would serve the current needs of The Hague. MacDiarmid said that this building transformation provided the optimal outcome for all parties to the transaction and for the community at large.

Lange Houtstraat 5-7 is situated in the center of The Hague and in the direct vicinity of the parliament and is surrounded by several catering and shop facilities.

CBRE advised RE Netherlands Office with the sale of the property. Colliers International acted on behalf of The Vincent Hotel Group.
