KanAm Grund Group acquires Edinburgh office building (GB)

The KanAm Grund Group has acquired an office building at 4 North St Andrew Street in the center of Edinburgh. Computershare Limited has been granted a complete and long-term lease to the building, a property with BREEAM certification for sustainability.

The building, which underwent complete refurbishment in 2019, offers over 3,821m² of office space distributed over seven floors. In addition, the basement features 12 underground car parking lots and a variety of options for parking bicycles. The seller is the Knight Property Group PLC. It has been agreed to keep the sales price confidential.

Located in the center of Edinburgh, the 4 North building faces onto St. Andrew Square and is only a short walk from the main railway station. The property is at the heart of an excellent business environment. The largest project in the direct vicinity is the redevelopment of the St. James Shopping Centre, also known as the St. James Quarter. Planned completion is 2020, and the hotel at the heart of the development will open in 2021. This will result in a significant enhancement of the neighborhood and the entire city center of Edinburgh.
