JPMorgan announces acquisition of Harenberg City-Center in Dortmund, Germany (DE/UK)

JPMorgan Asset Management - Real Estate (Europe) has announced that a fund advised by it has acquired the Harenberg City-Center in Dortmund, Germany, from Hannover Leasing GmbH & Co. KG.

The 18-story prime office building is located in the center of Dortmund across from the main train station and consists of 21,168 m². Major tenants include Deutsche Bahn AG, Dresdner Bank AG, und Brockhaus AG.

Since completion in 1994, the Harenberg City-Center has become a landmark building in Dortmund due to its location and distinctive Architecture. In addition to the office space the property offers conference facilities on the 18th floor and a fully equipped auditorium.

With this transaction, the fund has acquired five properties since January 2007. These include two office buildings in Paris' Opera/St-Lazare business district and in La Défense, a logistics property in Grantham (UK) with 31,029 m² and an 11,154-m² office building in Rome (Italy).
