Jones Lang LaSalle launches Renewable Energy Capital team (UK)

Jones Lang LaSalle has launched a new Renewable Energy Capital team aiming to provide commercial and financial advice and raise capital for developers of Renewable Energy projects.

As part of Jones Lang LaSalle Corporate Finance EMEA, the team has strong links to a number of investor groups increasingly seeking opportunities in this emerging sector. The team has recently aligned itself into four business lines to drive sustained growth and has appointed Andreas Quint to head the practice and position itself as a pan- European platform and deliver a market leading offering. The business lines provide bespoke offerings to Equity, Debt, M&A and Renewable Energy markets.

"Key services from project and portfolio developers, utility companies seeking to deleverage, family offices and high net worth individuals providing development capital and institutional investors seeking low risk and stable yield investments, will concentrate on renewable energy projects including wind, hydro/tidal, solar, and biomass providing project finance (development and equity), sell- and buy-side M&A for projects and portfolios, financial and commercial advisory to developers and investors and specialist valuations."

With over 20 years collective experience in equity and debt raising for Renewable Energy projects and portfolios, the team operates across the full range of renewable technologies including biomass, energy-from-waste, hydro/tidal, onshore and offshore wind and solar PV, and has already achieved a number of business successes at Jones Lang LaSalle including the appointment by a well-known renewable energy developer to raise £25 million of capital to fund the build out of a portfolio of windfarms in the UK. The windfarms are forecast to be constructed in 2013 under the Feed in Tariff regime.
