Jones Lang LaSalle completes advisory work for the city of Szczecin (PL)

Jones Lang LaSalle is pleased to announce that it advised the city of Szczecin with regard to a promotional campaign. Under its mandate, Jones Lang LaSalle prepared the "Szczecin City Report", which provides a brief overview of the economic and real estate market situation in the region.

Maciej Agaciñski from Szczecin city hall said: "Jones Lang LaSalle was selected as our partner due to its experience in working with Polish cities and also for its flagship City Reports, which we wanted to adapt to our local conditions. We believe that the Szczecin City Report will become an efficient tool in attracting new investors to the city."

Szczecin features a unique location in close proximity to the German border and the Baltic sea (and thus Scandinavia), reasonably good connectivity via all modes of transport, and a strong pool of talent. A significant percentage of Szczecin's university graduates are fluent in both German and English, which is a great asset. Currently several projects aimed at improving the overall infrastructure system are underway in the city. Simultaneously, an increase in developer activity is pronounced, most notably in the office and retail sectors.

"A number of companies have already invested in different business sectors in Szczecin, the administrative and economic centre of the Zachodniopomorskie region, which is developing in an extremely dynamic way . We expect further investments, especially in the BPO/SSC sector, which has shown recent activity. The city of Szczecin offers a range of assistance (including a 'one-stop shop') to potential investors with regard to establishing their enterprises in the city, as well as a package of incentives and tax exemptions," Maciej Agaciñski added.

John Duckworth, the Managing Director of Jones Lang LaSalle's Polish and CEE & SEE operations commented: "Our relationship with Szczecin, and the advice we provided, is another example of how Jones Lang LaSalle is helping Polish cities development and promote themselves on an international scale. Our extensive knowledge of the real estate market, against the economic backdrop of the various Polish cities, enables us to offer the highest quality professional consultancy services to our Polish regional authority and city clients."
