IPD has appointed James Wallace as its new Global Press Officer. James joins from EG Capital, where he was Deputy Editor since the real estate finance magazine's launch in January 2007.
James' principal role will be to facilitate broader relationships between IPD's spokespeople and media outlets as well as develop relationships with senior real estate market participants. James will be based at IPD's London head office, but will be responsible for the PR functions across all markets covered by the company.
James has more than eight years experience as a financial journalist. In his previous role, James covered real estate banking markets, including European property lending, CMBS, fund management and property derivatives.
Earlier in his career James was Deputy Editor at Professional Pensions for three years.
