Internos boosts European team with 12 new appointments (EU)

Internos Real Investors LLP, the €1.5 billion owner-managed real estate fund management business, announces that it has boosted its European team with 12 new hires across its Amsterdam, London and Frankfurt offices.

The Netherlands
Harry Hanekamp has been appointed as Managing Director to provide strategic advice and lead the Dutch office. With over 40 years of experience in the real estate sector, Harry will be responsible for strengthening capital relationships in the Dutch market and directing our asset management activities. Prior to his most recent position as CRM and Head of the AXA REIM NL Office, Harry spent 22 years with Shell Pension Fund latterly as Global Real Estate Investment Manager, co-ordinating all aspects of the Fund's real estate investments in Europe and the USA.

Harry is joined in Amsterdam by Arjan Niemeijer, who has been appointed as Asset Manager for the Netherlands. Previously Arjan was a Junior Asset Manager at Mayfield Asset and Property Management. Maudi Bouwmeester also joins the team as Office Manager.

UK
Carla Murray has joined Internos as Head of Corporate Services and is now responsible for human resources, marketing and internal and external communications. Carla joins from Australian REIT, GPT Group where she was part of the human resources team since 2007, and played a key role in the stabilization and sale of the GPT Halverton platform to Internos.

Justyna Pyra joins as Portfolio Manager with eight years real estate experience acquired working for leading private equity funds including Europa Capital Partners, Doughty Hanson Real Estate and Deutsche Bank's RREEF Real Estate Opportunity Fund.

Jimmy Mattrel has been appointed as Transactions Manager, Hotels and Leisure Division to work alongside the recently appointed Jochen Schäfer-Suren, Head of Internos' Hotels and Leisure Division. Prior to this, Jimmy operated as a Senior Associate at HVS Hodges Ward Elliot and DTZ Hospitality where he was involved in hotel transactions valuations and development consultancy. He has over five years' experience working in the hotel sector.

In addition, Alberto Esguevillas has been appointed as Asset Manager focussing on Spanish and shopping center assets, Mark Eagles as an IT Support Engineer, along with Sarah Davies and Jacqui Hopper who join the fund accounting team.

Germany
Two new recruits have joined the Frankfurt team; Lennard Besch as an Asset Manager following three years in the retail sector as a Business Analyst at REWE Zentralfinanz, and Julian Schneider as a Transactions Analyst.
