IDI Gazeley announces further 59,000 m² distribution center project with John Lewis (UK)

IDI Gazeley (Brookfield Logistics Properties), a leading global investor and developer of logistics warehouses and distribution parks, announces the signing of a project to develop a 59,000 m² built-to-suit warehouse for leading UK retailer, John Lewis, at its flagship Magna Park Milton Keynes distribution park.
The announcement constitutes the third build-to suit-project to be developed to date for John Lewis following the construction of 120,774 m² of sustainable warehouse space across two built-to-suit facilities of 60,000 m² and 62,000 m² respectively.
Construction of the new distribution center is due to commence at the beginning of April 2015 and be completed by the start of November.
The building will feature 55,742 m² of warehouse space, together with 3,530 m² of office accommodation over two storeys including a training center.  As with all new IDI Gazeley warehouse developments, the building will be developed to the BREEAM ‘Very Good’ certification.
Speaking about the announcement, Nigel Godfrey IDI Gazeley Executive Director and UK Country Head said “We are extremely pleased to have been chosen once again by John Lewis to develop this important new distribution center at Magna Park Milton Keynes.”
