ICSC announced MAXI Awards (EUR)

Nine shopping centers throughout Europe were recognized for marketing excellence by the 38th annual MAXI Awards program of the International Council of Shopping Centers, Inc. (ICSC).

All MAXI awards were given at a ceremony held on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at the ICSC Inaugural Fusion Conference in Hollywood, Fla. This year's winners were selected from a field of 358 entries from 32 countries, with 102 finalists in the MAXI Awards competition.

The winners are as follows:

Manufaktura in Lodz, Poland won a Gold MAXI Award in the Community Relations category for the campaign entitled: "Museum of the Factory."

Hempstead Valley in Gillingham, United Kingdom won a Silver MAXI Award in the Public Relations category for the campaign entitled: "Fashion Features."

Domoteka in Warsaw, Poland won a Silver MAXI Award in the Sales Promotion and Events category for the campaign entitled: "Domoteka Design Night."

Janki in Warsaw, Poland won a Silver MAXI Award in the Sales Promotion and Events category for the campaign entitled: "Lucky Receipts."

CentrO in Oberhausen, Germany won two Gold MAXI awards. One award was given in the Sales Promotion and Events category for the campaign entitled: "CentrO Fashion Tower." Another award was given in the Alternative Revenue category for the campaign entitled, "Cirque du Soleil at CentrO."

Bryggen in Vejle in Denmark won a Gold MAXI Award in the Grand Opening, Expansion & Renovation category for the campaign entitled: "Grand Opening Bryggen."

Magnolia Park in Wroclaw, Poland won a Gold MAXI Award in the Grand Opening, Expansion & Renovation category for the campaign entitled: "Magnolia Park - The Campaign with a Human Voice."

Silesia City Center in Katowice, Poland won a Silver MAXI Award in the Alternative Revenue category for the campaign entitled: "Terracotta- Army."
