HOCHTIEF Projektentwicklung erects new location for Siemens in Dusseldorf (DE)

HOCHTIEF Projektentwicklung has concluded a long-term lease contract with Siemens Real Estate for a new five story 11,400 m² office building. In Airport City, the HOCHTIEF subsidiary is to build a new location for the technology group's Düsseldorf branch office.

Siemens branch office in Dusseldorf is slated for completion in 2010.


In the future, Siemens will bundle its sales and administrative activities there. The building – scheduled to be completed by the end of 2010 – will accommodate some 600 employees.

The five-story building is being constructed on a more than 9,000 m² site on Klaus-Bungert-Strasse, directly adjacent to the Porsche Center. Apart from office premises, it will also house training rooms and conference areas and will have an underground garage for 220 vehicles. The property is being developed in accordance with ecological standards, Thanks to the use of renewable energy, it will meet the stipulations of the energy-saving ordinance by a margin of well over 25% and will thus fulfill the prerequisites for participating in the European Union's GreenBuilding Partner program.
