At Air Link Park Berlin, Unitax Pharmalogistik GmbH has taken 15,792 m² of purpose built distribution accommodation on a long term lease. The 'built to suit' unit will be completed in the summer of 2013 providing the specialist pharmaceutical logistics company with a new headquarters.

At Direct Link Park in Leipzig, German 3PL Nagel Group has taken a further 5,238 m² of warehouse space, an extension to its 25,300 m² built to suit logistics center, the construction of which completed in October 2012. The new extension, which will be used for deep freeze storage, is scheduled for delivery in Q1 2013.

Michael Hughes, CEO of Helios Europe, says: "The Link Logistics project has proven extremely successful and we are confident this success will continue. The scheme provides high quality logistics accommodation in strategic locations across Germany, which is proving a hit with large European logistics companies. And we have further space available to let."

Air Link Park Berlin and Direct Link Park Leipzig are two of three projects in the Link Logistics portfolio being developed in partnership with EPISO, the real estate fund co-advised by Tristan Capital Partners and AEW Europe. The third is Inter Link Park in Ingolstadt which has a developable area of 50,000 m² and is located close to the Audi factory and A9 Motorway.

Located close to the new Berlin Brandenburg Airport at Schönefeld, Air Link Park Berlin currently comprises 30,000 m² of built warehouse space. The first 15,000 m² was let to Dachser GmbH & Co in December 2011, with a further 15,000 m² constructed and available to lease. Following the Unitax signing there is just 15,000 m² left to be developed at the scheme.

Direct Link Park, Leipzig, located close to Leipzig International Airport, the DHL freight hub, the Porsche factory and the A9 and A14 motorways will provide up to 250,000 m² of warehouse and ancillary office space.
