Helaba is providing a loan of more than €85 million with a term up to 2018 for Finnish real estate investor Sponda Plc. The listed Sponda Plc is Finland's largest real estate investment company and leading portfolio manager in Finland.
The transaction is a follow-up financing for the court building in Helsinki, predominantly let to the Finnish Ministry of Justice. The property comprises 57,000 m² and is located in the city district Ruoholahti.
For Helaba, this facility underlines its long-term commitment to the Nordic markets. Since the start of activities in that region in 2006, the bank has provided financings of more than €3.5 million in Northern Europe, focusing on well-located high quality properties.
