Guido Piñol joins IVG Investment GmbH as Managing Director (DE)

Guido Piñol (41) will leave Fortress to join IVG group as speaker of the management board of IVG Investment GmbH and will in his newly appointed role be responsible for IVG's on-balance-sheet real estate business.

Mr. Piñol has been Managing Director of Fortress Investment Group in Germany and in his role as chief investment officer built up a €1 billion commercial real estate portfolio since 2006.

Guido Piñol holds a degree in political economics (University of Heidelberg) and in real estate economics (ebs). He started his professional career in the structured finance team of Sumitomo Bank Ltd.. In 1999 he joined the German operations of Jones Lang LaSalle, where he acted as Head of Portfolio Investment before joining CB Richard Ellis in Frankfurt as a managing director in 2002. Mr. Piñol is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).

Piñol will replace Dr. Rüdiger von Stengel, who will leave IVG after 7 years. From 2003 to 2008 von Stengel took responsibility for the product development regarding composition of the funds business of IVG and since 2008 he managed the business of IVG Investment GmbH. He will build up his own company and will stay in contact to IVG as a consultant. The management board thanks Dr von Stengel for his long-term and successful work and wishes him all the best and a lot of success for the buildup of his own company.
