Goodman, the integrated global property group, which owns, develops and manages logistics and business space, has announced a significant new pre-committed development for a 50,000-m² logistics facility, at its Saint-Mard Logistics Centre, Paris on behalf of a major distributor.
Announcing the deal Jean-François Mounic, Goodman's Regional Director Southern Europe, said: "We are delighted to be developing this 50,000 m² built-to-suit facility in Saint-Mard which is ideally located for our customer as it provides direct access to their outlets in Paris and surrounding suburbs. Furthermore, this pre-committed and pre-let deal demonstrates our capacity to deliver high quality, flexible logistics space solutions that meet the individual requirements of our customers, and reflects the increasing demand we have experienced in France over recent months. The acquisition of this prime site underlines the Group's global strategy and reaffirms our position as the European leader in logistics development."
Ground works will begin at the site in May 2011, and the pre-committed facility is expected to be delivered in March 2012.
The total development capacity of the Saint-Mard Logistics Centre is 130,000 m² of prime warehouse space. It is located only 30 km north of Paris and 12 km from the Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport, with direct access to the N2.
