Goodman leases warehouse space to Ruch at Kraków Airport Logistics Center (PL)

Goodman Group has signed another new lease at its second warehouse at Kraków Airport Logistics Center. Press distributor Ruch will lease 5,200 m² of warehouse space and an additional 650 m² of office and social space. The company is scheduled to move to its new premises in mid-October. Ruch is the second customer to lease space at the warehouse, which is now 100% pre-let.

"We are delighted to have signed this latest deal with Ruch," said Blazej Ciesielczak, Goodman Country Manager for Poland.

"Our ability to attract one of the largest press distributors in Poland demonstrates our strong business model and our excellent awareness of the needs of our customers. With the signing of the agreement with Ruch, our entire portfolio of properties in Central and Eastern Europe is now fully leased."

Goodman has six developments currently under construction in Poland, which will deliver 131,000 m² of high quality logistics space to the Polish market over the coming months.

Ruch is Goodman's sixth customer at Kraków Airport Logistics Center, and will occupy the 22,405 m² second warehouse, together with Valeo Autosystems. Construction of the facility began in May and completion is scheduled for early October 2011.

Ruch is one of the largest press distributors in Poland, with almost 40% of market share, offering 4,000 titles. Ruch distributes newspapers to nearly 26,000 locations and operates its own retail network with about 5,500 outlets. It serves nearly eight million retail customers every day. Among the company's suppliers are major fast moving consumer goods producers whose products are distributed by Ruch throughout Poland.

"We are delighted to sign this lease with Goodman," said Maciej Karolak, Marketing Director at Ruch.

"The facilities at Krakow Airport Logistics Center mirror our requirements perfectly. We are looking forward to moving to our new premises and are confident that we will receive a superior level of customer service from Goodman."

The leasing transaction was conducted by Colliers.
