Goodman develops new facility for Alstom in Stafford (UK)

Global integrated property group, Goodman has entered into a development agreement with international engineering company Alstom for the construction of a new 200,000 ft² (approx. 18,580 m²) production R&D and office headquarters on the Redhill Business Park, just north of Stafford. Alstom’s substation automaton division is due to move into the new facility by the end of 2016.
Goodman and Alstom have also applied to build a new facility for its HVDC and systems operations, which will move from their existing St Leonard’s site. This is in addition to the joint venture Goodman has structured with Cyril Leonard, property advisors to Alstom.
Alstom in Stafford is a world-wide centre of excellence for the High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) and Substation Automation Technologies. The teams have been at the centre of a number of major contract wins including projects in India, Sweden and Germany.
