Goodman acquires prime logistics facility at Stuttgart Airport in Germany (DE)

Goodman has acquired a 10,654 m² facility at Stuttgart Airport in Germany. This acquisition strengthens Goodman’s share of logistics space in southern Germany to nearly 300,000 m², in an area characterised by high demand for quality logistics properties, with little land available for new development.
The facility was purchased by Goodman’s flagship European investment fund, the Goodman European Logistics Fund (GELF), and is leased to DB Schenker. The property is located adjacent to the air cargo terminal building and benefits from the area’s well-developed infrastructure, with easy access to major north-south and east-west motorways, extensive rail network and inland ports.
With the addition of the property at Stuttgart Airport, Goodman manages a total of 110,750 m² in the state of Baden-Wuerttemberg on behalf of GELF. The region is one of Germany’s main economic hubs and is home to many automotive manufacturers, OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) and several appliance and technology manufacturers. Furthermore, in the states of Bavaria, Hesse and Rhineland Palatine, GELF maintains 166,000 m² of prime logistics space for customers across a variety of sectors.
