Generali Real Estate has completed the last major step required for the construction of the Tour Saint-Gobain, which will host the global Headquarters of Compagnie Saint-Gobain – the world’s leader in the habitat and construction markets. Generali Real Estate has signed the acquisition of the additional land right from EPADESA – the public authority for the development of La Défense Seine Arche – on the land that will become the development site of the Tour Saint-Gobain. The construction is set to begin within the second quarter of 2016, with completion expected in 2019. Generali Real Estate, assisted by Hines France, has selected Vinci Construction France’s subsidiary ADIM Concepts as the General Contractor.

The Tour Saint-Gobain is located in the historical heart of La Défense, the business district in the outskirts of Paris. Designed by the French studio Valode & Pistre, the architectural, technical and environmental project boasts a 165-meter-tall tower of 38 floors with 49,000m², a business centre, a 250-seat auditorium, a showroom of approximately 300m² and three restaurants. Each office floor will have access to a semi-open garden. The Tower aims to be a paragon of multi-comfort solutions and environmental quality and is designed to obtain the NF HQE (“Durable asset” passport, “excellent” level), LEED CS (“gold” level) and BREEAM (“excellent” level) environmental certifications, as well as the EFFINERGIE + energy label. Generali Real Estate and Compagnie Saint-Gobain have agreed on a 12-year lease.
