Frankfurt's OpernTurm agrees new lease (DE)

Tishman Speyer has leased two more levels of Frankfurt's OpernTurm project. On 27 November 2007, a lease agreement on approx. 3,000 m² of office space was signed with Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP. The Frankfurt office of the globally operating law firm will move into the 26th and 27th storey of the OpernTurm tower. With half of the entire office space - approx. 31,000 m² - already under contract with UBS Deutschland AG, the project has an occupancy rate of approx. 54%.

Both parties were pleased with the close of the negotiations. Dr. Christian Zschocke, Managing Partner of Morgan Lewis, said: "We were looking for a prestigious and efficient office in a central location. We are delighted to have found our base in a unique building directly adjacent to Alte Oper."

Tishman Speyer's view was similarly positive. Stefan Brendgen, Managing Director of Tishman Speyer Deutschland, said: "We are building OpernTurm for first-class international players that make high demands on their office space. The decision made by Morgan Lewis to choose the best building in Frankfurt shows that it was correct to invest in the site." More lease agreements for OpernTurm are in the pipeline.
