After an intensive period of preparation, Foruminvest France and the City of Beauvais officially announced their public private partnership agreement. The agreement provides the basis of the development of the main shopping centre of Beauvais, called Le Jeu de Paume.
This development will add some 23,500 m² GLA of retail for 80 shops and 800 underground parking spaces to the existing shopping area of Beauvais. It is located in the heart of the inner city and creates a new circuit linked to the main retail high streets. It will include 40 appartements and improvements of the surrounding public spaces.
Located North of Paris, Beauvais has a catchment area of some 250,000 consumers, a university and has won the title of most beautiful flower city of France.
The project will be designed by Benoy, famous for their UK projects like Bullring and BlueWater.
The opening of the new shopping centre is scheduled for the autumn of 2011.
