First tenant for SEGRO Industrial Park Wroclaw (PL)

SEGRO, Europe's leading owner-manager and developer of industrial property, has already started preparation works on the construction of the new development in Wroclaw. The first phase consisting of 7,000 m² will host a cross dock terminal of a leading provider of standard and express parcel services – DPD.

DPD Polska is one of the leading parcel delivery services providers, operating on the Polish market for more than 20 years, both in B2B, as well as B2C sector. The company owned by GeoPost Group, a wholly-owned La Poste subsidiary, has been within SEGRO's warehouses in Poland since 2007 when introduced to Tulipan Park Poznan. Currently, DPD has signed an agreement for modern flexible space in SEGRO Industrial Park Wroclaw. The new facility will be tailored for the tenant according to its requirements and is scheduled for delivery Q1 2013. The new terminal will cover modern parcel sorting space along with an administration suite and a special system enabling to parcel movement from unloading till loading.

Krzysztof Suchenia, Real Estate Manager DPD comments, "We were looking for a new location of our branch in the north-eastern part of Wroclaw – the part of the city that has not yet been well equipped with warehouse facilities. SEGRO has managed to meet our quality requirements as to the project implementation and specific needs of our branch in terms of the type and quality of the leased facility. Our decision to enter into agreement with the developer was based on high standard services that SEGRO is renowned for. Favorable lease conditions and flexibility of SEGRO as a landlord were benefits which encouraged us to extend our cooperation with the developer by leasing one more facility."

Joanna Janiszewska, Leasing Manager at SEGRO is also satisfied with the transaction, "We are very pleased to host DPD, which has such a strong market position in the courier services sector. SEGRO's strategy has always been based on offering our clients the highest level of support. Close partnership with the clients is our priority at every stage of the cooperation. I'm convinced that the space within SEGRO Industrial Park Wroclaw will contribute to the further development of our partner's business activity."

SEGRO Industrial Park Wroclaw is the first facility being under construction by SEGRO in Lower Silesia Region. The project will be implemented in the form of business partnership between SEGRO and Polish Real Estate Holding, part of Grupa PHN S.A. The facility located in Bierutowska street in north-eastern part of Wroclaw on 10 ha land will eventually provide 40,000 m² of modern flexible space. New logistic center is advantageously located close to Jan III Sobieski avenue, one of Wroclaw's main arterial thoroughfares, and in the close proximity to the junction with the new by-pass of the city.
