First outlet centre to debut in northern Moravia this fall (CZ)

TK Development has unveiled the opening date for the Outlet Arena Moravia property, its first outlet centre in Ostrava and neighbouring regions. Scheduled to welcome first customers in mid-November, the property will be managed by CBRE.

Outlet Arena Moravia represents a unique concept within Moravian region, borrowing tried and tested practice from other outlet centres. Customers will find a number of exclusive brand stores, restaurants and services arranged into an oval arena with parking and resting zones at its heart as well as plenty of lush green. An oasis of brand stores for everyday and holiday shopping will be developed on the banks of Odra river between Ostrava and Hlucin.

"Outlet Arena Moravia will be first outlet centre in the northern Moravia. We have chosen the location to cater for customers from Moravian-Silesian and Olomouc Regions and also for customers from neighbouring Poland and Slovakia,” says Roman Vachta, Technical and Development Director at TK Development.

"Outlet Arena Moravia services will be targeting customers living within 90-minute driving distance. We are confident that our customers will come not only from Ostrava and Olomouc regions but also from Zlin, Jeseniky as well as nearby regions of Slovakia,“ says Katarina Brydone, Head of Retail at CBRE.

"We have extensive experience with retail projects in Moravia and thus see a great potential in Outlet Arena Moravia. We know the local market also from human resource and managerial perspectives,“ explains Ondrej Lane, Director – AS Retail at CBRE.

Several hundred new jobs will be created at Outlet Arena Moravia – a significant aid to the employment in Moravian-Silesian region. Many new jobs will be directly in stores and centre management and there will also be opportunities for local businesses, to deliver services for regular centre operations.

Outlet centre will offer long opening hours to serve a wide range of customers. Most stores and operations will be open between 9 am and 8 pm, some like restaurants, will be open even longer.
