Fabege invests SEK 400 mln. in Arenastaden and Hammarby Sjöstad (SE)

Fabege has acquired two undeveloped properties in Arenastaden for SEK 400 million (approx. €44.7 million). The two properties are Pyramiden 3, comprising a land area of approximately 9,200 m², and Signalen 3, with a land area of approximately 15,600 m².

The sellers are Fastighets AB Granen and Estancia Fastigheter AB, respectively. Fabege will take possession of the properties on April 1 and July 1, 2011, respectively.

"Arenastaden is a high-priority development area for Fabege. We are now safeguarding our capacity to continue to offer large integrated and attractive office premises to our customers," says Klaus Hansen Vikström, Director of Business Development at Fabege.

To further boost the attractiveness of Hammarby Sjöstad's landmark, the Luma factory, Fabege has decided to implement an investment project.

"Luma is an incredibly inspirational building that we are now upgrading to maintain its position as Hammarby Sjöstad's most attractive office workplace," says Urban Sjölund, Director of Properties at Fabege.
