EXPO REAL 2006 will be opened by the Lord Mayor of the Moscow, Yuri Luzkhov, the Bavarian Economics Minister Erwin Huber and Eugen Egetenmeir, member of the Messe München Executive Board, at 9:15 a.m. on 23 October 2006. A total of approximately 1,630 companies from 39 countries will exhibit at the 9th International Commercial Property Exposition. This corresponds to a growth of 15 percent compared to the previous fair (EXPO REAL 2005: 1,415 exhibitors). Approximately 400 exhibitors are from foreign countries. As a result, the number of international exhibitors has increased by more than 35 percent since EXPO REAL 2005.

The amount of space has also increased. The 9th International Commercial Property Exposition, will occupy five halls and consequently 52,000 square meters on the grounds of the New Munich Trade Fair Centre from 23 to 25 October. This corresponds to an increase in area of more than 20 percent. This is above all due to the increased demand from foreign countries, especially from the eastern and southeastern European markets, the Russian Federation and the Gulf region. International exhibitors are occupying more than one-third of the exhibition area this year.
