EXPO REAL 2006: Winners of the EuroProperty Awards announced

On Tuesday, 24 October 2006, the EG Group of London, publishers of EuroProperty magazine, has presented its first EuroProperty Investment Awards at EXPO REAL 2006, that takes place in Munich. The award ceremony attracted a large audience of visitors and exhibitioners of the EXPO REAL.

The awards were presented to particularly successful pension and annuity funds, and to real estate investors. The winners were selected with the assistance of the Investment Property Databank (IPD), a comprehensive source of information on European countries.

After the welcoming speeches by Dr. Ian Cullen, Founding Director of IPD, and Bernd Knobloch, CEO of Eurohypo, Mark Cooper, Group Director of Euro Property, opened the Award ceremony. "EXPO REAL has grown into a central platform for the real-estate sector in Europe," he said. "All the key property markets, locations and players in the business are represented at EXPO REAL. The quality of the trade visitors – key players in the property market across Europe – and an atmosphere conducive to business deals, makes EXPO REAL an optimum event for the début of the Euro Property Awards."

Awards were presented in eight categories.
The winners of the Award for the Best Performing Property Fund:

Ampega Gerling Investment AG is over three years, in Germany the winner of the Award for the Best Performing Property Fund.

Credit Suisse is over five years, in Germany the winner of the Award for the Best Performing Property Fund.

BPN Imofundos is over three years, in Portugal the winner of the Award for the Best Performing Property Fund.

Foncière des Régions is over three years, in France the winner of the Award for the Best Performing Property Fund.

ING Real Estate is over five years, in France the winner of the Award for the Best Performing Property Fund.

OBOS is over three years, in Norway the winner of the Award for the Best Performing Property Fund.

Threadneedle Investment is over three & five year Award Winner in the United Kingdom.

The awards are restricted to funds which are diversified across a range of sectors in the relevant markets. Only those submitting their results to the IPD are entitled to enter for the awards. The awards ceremony took place with the support of Eurohypo.
