Eurinpro appoints Werner Knan as Managing Director to strengthen German Team (DE)

Eurinpro International S.A. has appointed Werner Knan as Managing Director for Germany with effect from 1st December 2006. He will support Eurinpro's growth in Germany and manage its three offices in the country.

Mr Knan joins Eurinpro from DHL Fulfilment GmbH where he worked as Managing Director. He is one of the most well-known professionals in the logistics sector, with extensive experience in a wide range of supply-chain, contract logistics and controlling disciplines together with thorough knowledge of the trends and developments confronting German and European logistics. In addition to his previous position, Mr Knan has also worked as a senior logistics and supply chain manager for Bioropa (Pharma & Life Sience), Kuehne & Nagel - Management AG, Log 2000 GmbH, Computer 2000 AG, Digital Equipment Europe, Hitachi Europe Semiconductors , ESG/FEG GmbH and Siemens AG.

In his function as Managing Director, Mr Knan will oversee the management of Eurinpro Germany GmbH ("Eurinpro Germany") and position the business for further growth in this region. Mr Knan commented: "I look forward to working together with the whole Eurinpro team to further spur Eurinpro's successful operations in Germany. We will continue to spread its end-to-end solutions to a broad customer base that wishes to operate their logistics from a tailor-made warehouse in Germany."

Jan Scheers, COO Eurinpro for Northern Europe, added: "After having opened two additional offices in Hamburg and Munich last month, we are delighted to now further strengthen our German team with a specialist logistics appointment. Mr Knan's expertise will be an important addition to Eurinpro's senior management. With his wide-ranging experience he will increase Eurinpro's value for all stakeholders while optimizing the delivery of our full range of consultancy services and warehouse solutions for customers in the region."

Germany remains the largest economy in Europe and with its big land offering, skilled labour force, optimal infrastructure and a highly strategic geographic location, it offers considerable scope for growth for Eurinpro's customised warehouse offering.

Eurinpro has been established for two years in Germany. Its headquarters are in Langenfeld and last month it responded to its growing success in the country by opening two additional offices in Hamburg and Munich. Eurinpro Germany recently delivered an 18,000 m² warehouse for Schenker in Grolsheim; a 75,103 m² warehouse for Amazon in Leipzig and a 49,876 m² warehouse for DHL Exel Supply Chain in Lutterberg. Currently Eurinpro is developing a 60,212 m² warehouse for BLG Logistics in Bremen.
