Emerson purchased 25,000 m² production hall in Székesfehérvár (HU)

Emerson Process Management Magyarország Kft. has undertaken a substantial expansion in Székesfehérvár. The purchase of a 25,000 m² factory building on 12 hectares of land in the Sóstó Industrial Park nearly doubles Emerson’s current area in the Videoton Industrial Park with a total investment in excess of 3 billion HUF. The agreement was signed on 7 November 2013 by Emerson and the previous owner TP Vision. Emerson was represented in the transaction by global real estate advisory Colliers International.

The new facility will be occupied by Emerson’s Fisher business line, which has been operating in Székesfehérvár since 1995 and will move to the new site in 2014. Fisher’s factory was originally established to manufacture valve parts and has been continuously expanded, first to produce valves, then to establish a customer service, parts distribution and service center from 2010. Fisher currently employs more than 500 people which will increase upon occupancy of the new facility.

Emerson (NYSE: EMR) is a diversified global manufacturing and technology company with a 25 billion USD annual revenue having approximately 135,000 employees and 235 manufacturing locations worldwide. They offer a wide range of products and services in the industrial, commercial, and consumer markets through their Process Management, Industrial Automation, Network Power, Climate Technologies, and Commercial & Residential Solutions businesses.

In Hungary - besides Fisher and Valve Automation manufacturing sites in Székesfehérvár - also subsidiary companies with commercial activities are operating in Budapest (Emerson Process Management, ASCO) and for almost 20 years the Leroy-Somer business line has been manufacturing in the industrial automation sector in Iklad. The total number of employees in Hungary is nearly 2,000 people.
