Under the terms of the agreement – one of Dubai's largest-ever high-end office leasing assignments – Jones Lang LaSalle will be responsible for leasing the office component of the District.

Set at the heart of Dubai, at the intersection of the Emirates Towers and Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), Dubai Trade Centre District represents one of the UAE's most ambitious redevelopment projects, creating a new business quarter at the epicentre of the region's most dynamic city.

"Dubai Trade Centre District will offer an international calibre business quarter, providing a fitting setting for the world's most important companies to build on their position in Dubai – the region's commercial hub," said Helal Saeed Al Marri, Director General, Dubai World Trade Centre.

The first phase of the district will incorporate offices, retail space, hotels and apartments in a prime location in Dubai.

"Over 2.5 mln. ft² of Grade A1 office space will be available across a range of floor plate sizes in the first phase, offering state-of-the-art technology, an adaptive communication infrastructure and first class facilities management. The business environment at Dubai Trade Centre District will be second-to-none and will inspire high levels of productivity in a world-class working atmosphere," continued Al Marri.

"We have selected Jones Lang LaSalle both because of their market understanding and also because of their experience in forging strong relationships with international tenants, founded upon model terms and conditions. We will provide tenants with the highest quality experience from the moment they decide to make Dubai Trade Centre District their base of operations," he concluded.

Built to the world's highest standards of design by internationally-renowned group Hopkins Architects, the grade A1 corporate offices within Dubai Trade Centre District are designed to the highest international specifications and incorporate LEED sustainability standards.

Khalid Yousif Al Fahim, Manager – Development, Dubai World Trade Centre, said: "This is a distinct project, which takes its inspiration from such major global commercial districts as London's Canary Wharf, Tokyo's Marunouchi District, Manhattan's Fifth Avenue and Hong Kong's Central District."
