DWS acquires Skanska HQ in Stockholm (SE)

Invesco Real Estate has sold Skanska’s head office in Stockholm to a real estate fund managed by DWS for an undisclosed amount. The state-of-the-art property, located on Kungsholmen, comprises c.20,500m² and benefits from a close proximity to Stadshagen subway station. The building was completed 2013/2014 and is certified LEED Platinum. It was acquired by Invesco Real Estate together with its Nordic operating partner, Scius Partners, from Skanska in Q3 2014.

Rob Johnston, Senior Director – Transactions, UK and Nordics at Invesco Real Estate commented: “We were able to secure this property in an off-market transaction through our on-the-ground partner in Sweden, Scius Partners, who has also managed the property since acquisition. Skanska designed a cutting-edge, sustainable office building that meets the highest environmental and technical standards from which the new owner can benefit in the future. We are very pleased to have achieved our business plan and deliver good performance for our investors. Invesco Real Estate still has a positive view of the Nordic property market and we continue to seek further opportunities for our clients in this region."
