DHL leases 61,720 ft² at SEGRO's Premier Park in West London (UK)

DHL International (UK) Limited has signed a 10-year lease to occupy 61,720 ft² (approx. 5,690 m²) on the Premier Park Estate at Park Royal in West London.

DHL has seen a significant increase in demand for its parcel distribution services, partly driven by the growth in e-commerce related activity. As a result, it has chosen to relocate its international parcel businesses operations to premises in West London, which are three times the size of its previous facilities. DHL chose Premier Park as it is a modern industrial estate located in the heart of Park Royal, West London, with easy and direct access to Central London as well the surrounding areas of Heathrow and A40 Western Corridor.

Alan Holland, SEGRO’s Business Unit Director for Greater London, comments: “This transaction with DHL, an existing customer, is part of a growing trend we are seeing from postal courier companies requiring buildings of approximately 30,000 ft² to 70,000 ft², located close to major conurbations to service their ‘last mile’ urban distribution activities. Premier Park is an ideal location for customers like DHL. The premises had recently become available and there was considerable interest from other companies. DHL was able to move quickly and we’re delighted to welcome them to Premier Park.”

Last year, DHL Aviation (UK) Limited leased 81,000 ft² at the Heathrow Cargo Centre from the Airport Property Partnership, the joint venture between SEGRO and Aviva Investors.
