Cushman & Wakefield Investors strengthens team with two new appointments (UK)

Cushman & Wakefield Investors (CWI) has made two new appointments to its London team. Andrew Thomas has been appointed Senior Investment Manager and will be responsible for direct investments on behalf of pension fund mandates as well as focusing on acquisitions. Mike Wimble joins as Associate Director in CWI's asset management team and will be responsible for managing retail investments.

Prior to joining CWI, Andrew worked at Quintain Estates & Development Plc from 2007 to 2010 where he managed part of an investment property portfolio as Asset Manager. He previously worked for Carter Jonas for three years in the Occupier Advisory and Investment Agency department.

Mike Wimble previously worked for Stockland Halladale as a retail asset manager where he was responsible for a portfolio of High Street shops, developments and shopping centers. Prior to that he worked as a retail agent for Churston Heard, Leslie Furness and Dalgleish for nine years where he handled lettings, lease renewals, rent reviews and acquisitions. He acted for major retailers including Arcadia, Primark, Bhs, Next and Gap.

David Rendall, European CEO at Cushman & Wakefield Investors said, "After a challenging 12 months we see great potential for developing and growing our fund management business across Europe and are starting to grow our team again. These two appointments will help us to leverage our separate accounts platform and continue to offer a tailor-made approach to our large institutional clients."

CWI is the operationally independent funds management business of Cushman & Wakefield with €1.94 bln. under management across Europe. It has an international 24-strong team based in three offices: London, Paris and Frankfurt. It is currently raising its first fund, PURetail, a specialist pan European fund focused on urban retail, jointly with Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (SWIP).
