Drs. Cor van Zadelhoff, a major figure in the European real estate sector since founding commercial real estate agent DTZ Zadelhoff in 1968, will attend this year's Central & Eastern European Real Estate Quality Awards gala dinner & awards ceremony to receive the event's fourth Lifetime Achievement Award.
Each year the award is given to an individual for outstanding contribution over a sustained period to the development of the property investment sector in Central & Eastern Europe (CEE). Previous winners include Eugene Golub, founder and president of Golub & Co, developer of the first privately developed office building in the CEE region in partnership with GE Capital; David Mitzner, founder and president of investment company Apollo Rida; and Sándor Demján, founder and chairman of leading developer TriGranit Development Corporation and one of Hungary's most influential businessmen.
The award will be presented at the CEE region's elite annual property gathering on 20th February at the InterContinental Warsaw Hotel, attended by more than 400 senior industry executives from 10 countries. A total of 14 awards will be presented to the outstanding real estate projects, companies and industry professionals of the CEE real estate sector in 2006.
Organised by Imagine Events, one of the sector's top conference and event organizers, in association with the sector's leading magazine Estates News, the prestigious 'peer group' awards for outstanding performance are nominated by sector professionals and judged exclusively by a jury of directors of the most respected companies active in the sector.
Cor van Zadelhoff commented: "Since it opened up to commercial real estate investment in 1989 this has been one of the most interesting and exciting markets on the planet. It has been a pleasure and a privilege to be involved, but it still has a long way to go and I haven't lost interest yet!"
