Construction and sales begin at Limitless/RDI Group mixed-use project in Moscow (RU)

Sales have been launched at Zagorodny Kvartal, the mixed-use joint venture project by Limitless and Moscow-based RDI Group.

Phase one of the development – 24 km northwest of Moscow – is currently under construction and includes 700 apartments and 46 townhouses, set in extensive green, open, walkable space.

Zagorodny Kvartal, meaning Country Quarter, is being constructed alongside the Moscow Canal, and is designed to bring the great outdoors into the everyday lives of residents and visitors, providing quality urban-style accommodation in a countryside setting. When complete, the project will span 111 hectares and accommodate for 14,000 people.

Saeed Ahmed Saeed, CEO of Limitless, said: "The launch of Zagorodny Kvartal reinforces Limitless' commitment to Russia and our partner, RDI Group. Together, we are bringing a new style of development to Moscow: a walkable community that allows residents to step out of the city and into nature."

Dmitry Aksenov, Chairman of RDI Group, added: "Zagorodny Kvartal will be the flagship integrated development project in the Moscow Region. We are creating a stylish, new-to-Moscow place which is a part of the city but doesn't feel like a city. Other major cities across the world have such places, and we are now bringing a similar project to the suburbs of Moscow."

Zagorodny Kvartal, will be at the heart of the one of the most rapidly-developing districts in the Moscow region. It is 4 km from Sheremetyevo International Airport, 8 km from the Moscow Ring Road and 10 km from Kimki Business Park. Highway upgrades planned for 2012/2013 will provide quick, congestion-free routes to and from Russian capital, and a new high-speed toll road will mean easy connections to St Petersburg.
