Flughafen Leipzig/Halle GmbH has purchased a multifunctional building on the airport grounds for c.€5.8m. Thus the company, which has leased the property with a floor space of 3,990m² since 1997, has made use of its purchase right after 22.5 years. The asset was sold by Commerz Real, acting on behalf of a closed-end real estate fund CFB 113. The airport operator has acquired Terminal B from the Commerz Real CFB 72 fund a year prior.
“This is a successful conclusion in every respect to an investment that has developed as originally forecast,” commented Heiko Szczodrowski, head of the Asset Structuring Portfolio Management division at Commerz Real. The sale is being used to dissolve the fund, with the investors receiving distributions totalling c.127% of their participation.
