CBRE Global Investors has sold Galleria Commerciale Siracusa S.R.L to CDS Holding S.p.A. The deal marks the completion of disposal strategy for CBRE Retail Property Partnership Southern Europe (RPPSE).
Opened in 2005, the asset, known as “I Papiri” is located in Siracusa, Italy in a close proximity the city centre. The shopping centre totals c. 25,000 m² GLA spread across two levels and compromises 50 units including hypermarket.
Enzo Danesi, Chairman of CDS Holding S.p.A. said: "CDS has entered a new phase of its strategic growth. Following the last year opening of Adigeo in Verona, and the launch of Aura in the centre of Rome, we are now committed to the relaunch of "I Papiri" centre, which we expect to become the main shopping centre for Siracusa and its province. We will heavily invest in an internal and external architectural refurbishment, as well as work on expanding the commercial offer.”
