CBRE appoints Head of Research in Russia (RU)

CBRE announces the appointment of Valentin Gavrilov as Director of Research Department in Russia.

In CBRE Gavrilov will be responsible for the data management and analytical support of all CBRE business lines. One of his main tasks is to deliver thoughtful and out of the box research reports for CBRE clients. Gavrilov will report to Alexander Polenok, Managing Director of CBRE in Russia.

Gavrilov started his career in 1998 at the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus and had been regularly promoted up to position of Deputy Head of Monetary Policy Department, responsible for working out and implementation of FX policy.

In 2008 - 2009 Gavrilov worked in the Moscow office of McKinsey&Company, where he gained extensive experience of business optimization processes with exposure to banking sector, FMCG, metals and mining, heavy industry. In 2009 – 2010 his experience was enriched with Head of Finance department, Board member roles in Home Credit Bank, Belarus.

Prior to joining CBRE, Gavrilov worked as a Head of management consulting business line in Belarusian private company EnterInvest, where he served a number of clients in Real estate, gasoline stations, FMCG, pharma, and automotive industries.

Gavrilov graduated from Belarusian State Economic University, where later in 2004 he earned a PhD degree for his research of macroeconomic policy issues. In 2007 he received MBA degree from HEC School of Management, France with specialization in Finance and Strategy. Gavrilov is an author of 23 articles in different economic magazines.
