CB Richard Ellis Investors, the global real estate investment management firm, announced today the appointment of Jean Lamothe as President of CB Richard Ellis Investors Europe. In this newly created pan-European leadership position, Jean will be responsible for the strategic direction, operations, financial results, day-to-day management and leadership of the Firm's pan-European platform. He also will oversee the existing direct investment programs and lead new business initiatives in Europe.
Jean has more than 24 years of experience in the real estate and private equity industries, including two decades on the European market. He served for 16 years with the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec in various capacities on multiple continents. He joined CDP as Managing Director for Latin America and was then appointed President of CDP Capital International and Managing Director of CDP Asia Investments. He also served as President of CDP Real Estate Europe where he managed over 4 billion of investments in Europe. Then, as President and Chief Executive Officer of Otéra Capital, he managed and consolidated the real estate financing operations of the group representing a total portfolio of $13 billion and a team of over 300 professionals.
