Brixton concludes leasing changes (UK)

Brixton plc is pleased to announce the restructuring of its internal leasing team with Mike Andrews taking overall responsibility for this function. This follows a full review of external agency roles (see press release of 22 September) and also the resignation of John Pocock from his role as Director Leasing. Adam Coulston will now deal with Brixton's key Heathrow market and the present three person executive team – which also includes Charles Blake and Rishi Sidhu – will expand by one or two further surveyors.

Mike has over 25 years of experience in the property market and joined Brixton in 1999 from DTZ where he was a Director. His new title will be Senior Director Leasing & Joint Ventures and he will also remain actively involved running the Heathrow Big Box and Equiton Funds as well as Brixton's interests at Trafford Park, Manchester.

Leasing remains within Brixton's customer business, B-Serv, where Steve Lee, Managing Director, also has overall responsibility for asset and contract management, customer service, refurbishment and estate works and Workplace Support.

Investment, development and new build construction are run through Brixton Investments and Managing Director Peter Dawson is also looking for one further surveyor to join the investment team.

Tim Wheeler, Brixton's Chief Executive, commented: "John's departure gives us a great opportunity now to bring some broader management focus to the leasing function of our business which we have been restructuring since the Industrious acquisition. As well as using external agency experts we are building a stronger direct leasing capacity and we believe Mike's appointment should co-ordinate the occupational and investment criteria of our business more successfully."
