BNP Paribas Real Estate acquires Italian Property & Facility Management company Nazca (FR/IT)

BNP Paribas is continuing its expansion in Italy through BNP Paribas Real Estate's acquisition of Property & Facility Management company, Nazca.

After creating Atisreal Italia in November 2005, BNP Paribas Real Estate has announced the creation of BNP Paribas Real Estate Property Management Italia (BNP Paribas REPM Italia).

Nazca is an established Facility Management player in Italy that was created in 2000 and numbers 25 staff.

The company is based in Milan and Rome, and operates across the country. Giuseppe Rago, the current chairman of Nazca, will become chairman of the new entity: BNP Paribas Real Estate Property Management Italia. This is part of the European business line: BNP Paribas Real Estate Property Management, headed by Henry Gast, who is also chairman of Comadim and an Executive Committee member of BNP Paribas Real Estate. BNP Paribas Real Estate manages over 14 million m² of corporate real estate in eight European countries.

"The Italian corporate real estate market is extremely dynamic, which is why we decided to establish our European business line there. Nazca is a company currently enjoying great success, with blue-chip customers including Hewlett-Packard, The Walt Disney Co and General Electric, to which we hope to contribute our recognised know-how in Property & Facility Management", declares Henry Gast.

For his own part, Giuseppe Rago considers that: "for Nazca, joining BNP Paribas is an extraordinary development opportunity. It will help us offer our customers all the services offered by BNP Paribas Real Estate. We also want to offer our Italian market expertise to international group customers interested in the country. This tie-up should also make for tremendous opportunities with the corporate client network of BNP Paribas and BNL in Italy."
