BlackRock and Horizon Investment Management to work together on real estate strategies (EUR)

Horizon Investment Management has agreed with BlackRock, Inc. to serve as its exclusive investment partner for opportunistic real estate investments in France, Belgium, The Netherlands and Luxembourg. The partners plan initially to acquire and develop properties totaling over €600 million in the region for BlackRock's opportunistic real estate platform.

BlackRock, headquartered in New York City, currently has over $50 billion of investments in direct real estate and real estate securities. In September 2006 BlackRock merged with Merrill Lynch Investment Managers to create one of the world's leading global fund management companies.

Horizon Investment Management, through its local offices in Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam, advises discretionary funds and its exclusive operating partners on the initiation and management of commercial real estate investments in the offices, logistics and retail sectors.
