Bilfinger Real Estate awarded management contract for Ericus-Contor building in Hamburg (DE)

The real estate portfolio that Bilfinger Real Estate manages for the IVG Group in Europe continues to grow. The latest addition to the real estate services provider's management portfolio is the Ericus-Contor building in Hamburg's HafenCity.
The property was acquired by IVG Institutional Funds at the end of 2014 and has been managed by Bilfinger Real Estate since 1 January.
In addition to commercial and technical property management, the services under contract also include the management of leasehold improvements as well as consulting services in the areas of energy and sustainability.
Completed in 2012, the office building is located at Ericusspitze 2–4, between Hamburg's Kontorhaus district and Lohse Park in the east of HafenCity. The building has total leasable space of around 19,000 m² spread over 12 floors. Via a plinth, the building is connected to the neighbouring Spiegel House, head office of the Spiegel Group. The tenants at Ericus-Contor include the shipping company Maersk, the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and the fashion group Chanel. The property has been awarded the DGNB pre-certificate in gold.
Bilfinger Real Estate currently manages 195 commercial properties in Europe for IVG, measuring 1.85 million m² in total. 181 of the properties are located in Germany and 14 in the Netherlands, Portugal, France and Italy.
