With effect from 1 March 2008, Bernd Schade is the new head of the real estate project management department at Hamburg-based Union Investment Real Estate AG.
A qualified civil engineer, Schade leads a technical team of 24 architects, civil engineers and project managers. In this new role Schade is responsible for developing and realizing new-build projects, as well as for major refurbishments and extensions of existing properties. He and his team also provide technical support on projects acquired by the company and on purchases and sales generally.
Bernd Schade was previously project manager at ECE Projektmanagement GmbH in Hamburg. He started his career at Drees & Sommer AG in Stuttgart as a project manager, while at the same time gaining a doctorate in engineering in 1999. He then joined K
