Atenor to redevelop Cloche d’Or in Luxembourg (LU)

ATENOR and ING Luxembourg have signed an agreement under which ATENOR will acquire the company owning the building Cloche d’Or, the current headquarters of ING Luxembourg, situated at Route d’Esch and Rue Jean Piret, at the heart of the Cloche d’Or administrative center.

This building, erected in 1992 on a plot of 6,772 m², currently has 6,500 m² of offices and four car park levels in the basement.

It will be structurally renovated and expanded to bring the office space up to around 10,000 m², in accordance with the provisions of Luxembourg City's General Development Plan.

The architectural project has been assigned to the firm Beiler + François in Luxembourg.

The agreement signed between ING Luxembourg and ATENOR organizes the temporary relocation of ING departments from March 2014 (awaiting their definitive transfer to their new headquarters) in order to enable ATENOR to start the renovation and extension work as soon as it has the required permit.

In parallel to this acquisition, ATENOR has signed an agreement with BDO Luxembourg, one of the largest accounting, auditing and consulting firms in Luxembourg, which will rent the entire building after its renovation, in early 2016.

ATENOR is also pursuing its redevelopment project on the site of the old Henri Funck breweries in Luxembourg-Neudorf. After approval, in April 2013, of the site's Particular Development Plan, the building application, for 87 apartments, four office spaces, five retail premises and 111 parking spaces, will be submitted shortly. The marketing and construction will start in the fourth quarter of 2013 with completion scheduled for the second half of 2015.

With these two projects, ATENOR confirms its long-term presence in Luxembourg, taking advantage of the experience build up since 1999 in this active and dynamic market.
