AMB appoints Jeroen Smit as vice president, asset operations Europe (NL)

AMB Property Corporation, a global developer and owner of industrial real estate, announces that its affiliate, AMB Property Europe B.V., has appointed European commercial real estate specialist Jeroen Smit (39) as vice president, asset operations, Europe.

Smit is responsible for operating AMB's assets in Europe. AMB has a portfolio in Europe of more than 606,340 m², comprised of 348,000 m² of operating facilities and 258,300 m² under development.

Smit has 15 years of real estate experience in Europe, more recently serving as portfolio manager for Redevco, a major international real estate investment company in The Netherlands specialising in commercial real estate. Prior to his position at Redevco, Smit held a number of real estate positions including manager of corporate real estate at WorldCom International; retail specialist at Jones Lang Wootton (Jones Lang Lasalle); head of property management at ING Real Estate; and account manager at ABC Real Estate Management.

"Jeroen's proven track record of property management will further enable AMB to effectively operate assets throughout Europe." Smit will report to Alfred Vos, AMB's senior vice president, director of development and operations, Europe. The company's European regional office is located in the World Trade Center Amsterdam.
