Goodman, the global property group that owns, develops and manages logistics space, will develop a fulfillment center in Wrocław for Amazon, the world’s largest e-commerce provider. The new development will be the largest free standing logistics facility in Poland, and will be built in record time to meet Amazon’s requirements. The transaction represents the biggest contract for a logistics warehouse in central Europe to date.
The development of Amazon’s first fulfillment center in Poland will have a footprint of approx. 95,000 m². Construction of the facility commenced in October 2013 and it is planned that the fulfillment center will be fully operational in the second half of 2014.
“We are proud that Amazon chose to enter the Polish market in partnership with Goodman. The facility we are developing will be the largest free standing logistics property in Poland.
